What We Do

VegFest works to create a culture of support for plant-based living throughout New England by inspiring people and places to become more veg-friendly—for the benefit of animals, people, and the planet.

We show others that plant-based living can be fun, easy, accessible, and delicious. Our programs target both individual and systemic changes while building networks of collaboration:

New England VegFest

Founded in 2010, the New England VegFest (NEVF) is an amazing day that brings together veg-friendly vendors, non-profits, presenters, and people interested in plant-based living to celebrate vegan food and causes. Held on a Sunday in late May in Worcester, Massachusetts, NEVF is one of the oldest and largest vegetarian food festivals in the country.

NEVF is at the heart of VegFest (just look at our name), as we strive to inspire people to support plant-based food in a fun and welcoming atmosphere.

Frosty Brews & Vegan Treats Fundraiser

Our March fundraiser helps usher in the spring season by giving veg-friendly attendees a chance to sip on vegan brews, chow down on vegan eats, and enjoy a box of baked goods from the famous Vegan Treats Bakery in Pennsylvania. The ticketed event, held at a local brewery, helps support VegFest's programming throughout the year.

Potlucks & Community Events

VegFest runs seasonal and special events that provide opportunities for people to share and learn about plant-based food. These include our annual Trunk or Treat Halloween candy showcase, other holiday and special events, and potlucks and restaurant-specific meet-ups.

Check our calendar for upcoming events.

Veganizing Local Events

VegFest works with organizers of festivals of all kinds to increase plant-based food offerings by booking and coordinating vegan vendors. We have partnered with START on the Street in Worcester, MA, and the Pet Rock Festival in Shrewwbury, MA, for multiple years and are always looking for new collaborations.
