The family-run eatery by Victor and Nicole Broushet has been part of the New England Vegfest community over the years\, sponsoring the festival in 2023. \n\n\n\nIn the fall of 2023\, The Vegan Nest shared on their social media that Nicole Broushet\, owner\, was “diagnosed with an aggressive breast cancer\,” asking customers for patience as the family navigated treatment and “this temporary new reality.” \n\n\n\nAfter undergoing a treatment plan over the course of months\, The Vegan Nest is ready to re-open\, stating\, “We are so grateful for all of the prayers and support from our community over the last year. After an aggressive treatment plan\, we are so happy to report that it was successful! Nicole had a pathological complete response and there is no evidence of disease in her body! We have a lot to celebrate and the best way we know how is to come together in fellowship over good food and good conversation!” \n\n\n\nJoin us in supporting this inspiring family and partaking in delicious vegan brunch.
